The World Values Network is pleased to announce that Jacqueline van Maarsen will G-d willing be attending our Third Annual Champions of Jewish Values International Awards Gala.

Jacqueline van Maarsen was the closest childhood friend of Anne Frank. The two went to school together at the Jewish Lyceum in Amsterdam, where they became best friends, often visiting each other’s houses and doing homework together. Jacqueline is mentioned throughout The Diary of a Young Girl, and there is even a letter of farewell written to her by Anne Frank — a letter she was only able to read after her friend’s passing.

Last month, Jacqueline agreed to do an interview with the founder of The World Values Network, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. In it, they discuss the childhood friendship of Frank and Van Maarsen, as well as the resurgence of anti-semitism in Europe and the new threats facing the Jewish people today.

Van Maarsen will join Sir Ben Kingsley, Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, and Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio at our Awards Gala.

We look forward to seeing you there, G-d Willing, on May 28 at the Marriott Marquis, New York City.
